Often used to extend and then retract a cylinder at different speeds they create two actions and have two exhaust ports which allows you to control the speed of each action by attaching a flow control valve to each exhaust port. Solenoid air control valves rely on electromagnetic levers for controlling air flow and release to achieve proper compressor function. Three way valves direct pressurized air to the cap end side of the cylinder. These valves close all ports in the off position to stop equipment in a locked position with air pressure holding it in place.

Compact push to connect valves include both an internal and external hex for easy tool free tightening and assembly. The valves pressurize and exhaust one outlet port to control a single acting cylinder or pilot another valve. Air piloted valves are operated by an external air source such as a solenoid operated valve in a remote location. Solenoid operated valves use an electrical coil to control the position of a poppet plunger or spool to open or close a valve.

Typical solenoid control voltages are 12vdc 24 vac dc 120vac or 240vac. These valves close all ports in the off position to stop equipment in a locked position with air pressure holding it in place. Pneumatic flow control and needle valves regulate the flow of compressed air.
